Merdeka

Tomorrow is Malaysia's Independence's day. A truly holy day to all of the Malaysian. Some would prolly spend around at KLCC or Dataran Merdeka, counting down or so.

After achieving Merdeka 52 years ago, the country grew so much that it began to be gain worldwide recognition. Until today, young generation have to study history to learn how hard the local people and the army fought for Merdeka. We were to understood and appreciate the value of Merdeka from the past leaders and citizen.

Back then, I look at Merdeka as to just, "Yay, it's holiday". But not until few years later, history showed us how important Merdeka is and how important it plays it's role for today. Hence in general, independence allowed us to walk freely without fear of war, able to study with certainty, able to live a life in peace and with equality.

Therefore, the current leaders play such a vital role where they have the abilities to create great impact into young generation. A leader never worries about his own benefit but he is to worry about the people who followed him. His is giving the ability to create a vision for the future. He has the ability to add value his followers. A leader doesn't serve his own purpose but his people.

How does this relevant with Independence? We all know that we were united under one strong nation, how important is that, the current leaders must set the goal straight as bearing in mind, the leaders should look into the future and set the road for the young generation to keep moving forward, and lift off the barriers between the races, the unity shall remain strong and each time, Independence will not only shows that this country gain its freedom but also with unity of the people in which it conveys the message of strong unity means stronger nation.

Happy Independence's day to all Malaysian.

MERDEKA.
Don't sleep late.

Reason? It's sucks.

Seriously.

Lesson learnt.

Dinner.

Yesterday, having dinner with family's friends. Gosh, I stuffed yesterday. All the meal were heavy. Yet I can't just stop eating haha. After dinner, they went to our home. And we took pictures.

The sisters. Lee Wei and Jaslyn.

Single shot.

We were at the play ground. Anyway, Lee Wei and Pei Yi.

Same same. Just different picture.

Before going back to my house, we kinda walked a big circle around my area. Well, let them explore a bit since they were new here. And oh, the two sisters also joined LVAC. They are such a kind hearted person. :)

Jaslyn.

Best picture of the evening.

Group photo.

Different pose.

The funny type.

Conclusion. I enjoyed the evening. Although it was short but it's enough for me to forget something. It's a short relief but it feels good. I think my blood pressure had lowered a tiny bit.

I manage to take some pictures with Lucky before the dinner hahaha

He's looking at the camera. How cute. Ignore me in the picture, best interest still remains to Lucky!

Bookfest.

Yesterday right after the tutorial ended, we rush our way to KLCC, yea, we attended the Bookfest. It was such a paradise to me. It was raining, and the girls doesn't want to get wet (okay, some girls). So we were hanging around at the class for a moment, and eventually our problem solved when Joanna suggested that Ayush with his car takes the girls to the station. Yes the girls enjoyed a free ride, while we, the noble gentlemen walked our way to the station. :D

We took this picture after dinner at the KLCC's food court. The food were basically...normal... Okay let me introduce my new class mate. From the left to right, Siao Ying, Vivian, Me and Alexander Wong.

This is our group photo. All of us agreed that the person who took this picture for us is....great...
Well, We got Stephanie with her boyfriend, Jonathan. And also Kiranjit. Steph and Kiran are also my class mate. The rest you should know who's who. Oh, nice to know Jonathan, he is really friendly.

Hahaha before we got in, we took this picture as a prove, we made it to the bookfest haha. Ya, I actually proposed this idea. But it did make a great picture
Interesting eh?

Well, in the end of the day, I bought two books. I'm very satisfied, especially the discount. Last year I couldn't get any books, this time I did. It is time to save up again. Bookfest will be end by 31st of August. So to those who are wanted to go, make it quick.

By the way, The League of Volunteers for Animals and Children will officially launch by this First of September. I hope that all members are excited about this. It is thereby, such a big day for LVAC, I'm equally excited. :)

MCA

As some may know, MCA is in deep crisis.

Firstly with the President of MCA Ong Tee Kiat with his scandal.

And then the second man of the Party, Chua Soi Lek's sacking.

Well, I'm not particularly in the favour of Chua Soi Lek. As a convention, for a minister whose personal conduct is lower than the standard he should be, he should resign. And he did last time. I respect that decision, at least he take it as man. But I think many supporters would say what is personal conduct would be his business. Yea, it's right. But as a minister he should have clean hands and it's such a disappointment to those who looked at him as a role model. While this time, he got sacked with the same issue.

Frankly, his first mistake would be he makes his come back too soon. Many people are not satisfied with the fact that he became the vice-president while the fact that the scandal haven't completely resolve. He should wait for another time, re brand his name while waiting.

Second mistake, I know it's unfair that he had been with the MCA since 1985, but so what? In the political world is a game of harshness. In his blog he's like... http://drchua9.blogspot.com/
read for yourself.
For like so many years you, yourself would know that you would have enemies attacking your back, and you still go into a hotel with your 'friend'. How would people set the cam up? Because...This is hilarious, you should know why.

Third mistake, he can't rub shoulder with his President. All already know that the two can't work together. Based on my opinion, where if you're the leader and you can't work with your co-workers what would you do? You might have given the answer.
But some Leaders would like receive critics and so on by co-workers. Too bad for him that his boss is not the type.

Another scandal issue is about the Mr.President of the MCA. He's suing Tiong for RM500 million for defamation. wee. What an amount of money. I don't know which one is telling the truth. But I hope that they would conduct the special check and balance as soon as possible. "Save MCA" had been launched to sack him. I believe for the Party own benefit, the problem should be settle soon. It's tarnishing the reputation of MCA. The what so good about MCA would be gone overnight if this continued.

Well, as we can see, how can a party facing crisis to win the supports from us? When internal issues can't be done, and yet they urged for support. People simply don't have confidence toward the party. When if so, they began to break down and lose power.
What most important is, they should have a good leadership quality like Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Would everyone agree? THen again, people have their style of leadership, maybe we just can't get used to the leadership sytle.

MLTR is gonna laugh.

http://www.malaysianmirror.com/homedetail/45-home/9692-pas-not-a-fan-of-michael-learns-to-rock

PAS called Michaels Learns to Rock's concert to be banned. And it's so called insult to Muslim during the month of Ramadan

o.O?

What is wrong with PAS?

"We are opposing this concert because holding it does not respect Muslims as it is the fasting month of Ramadan, a time for holiness and cleanliness," PAS youth wing chief Nasrudin Hassan Tantawi told AFP.

Okay, you have your point. BUT what did MLTR did? Did they massacred human beings? Or destroyed cities? or Chew off some helpless animals during a concert? The answer is no. Don't make me laugh la. You're bringing religion into politics which is sensitive issues to all of us.

Look at logic point here. I agreed that some celebrities from the west is, yea, revealing, and so forth. BUT they actually followed the rules laid out by our country. So they actually respected the Muslim.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I did not see any singers wearing short skirts, or revealing here and there when they perform in Malaysia.
So what can a men in a group do to consider bad? They are considered respected band throughout the world.

And,

If you read the article, they said it did not respect Muslims. But they did not said how MLTR disrespected the Muslims. Where is your prove?

Sorry to say but I can't help to empathise, PAS is asking for trouble. Too bad for PAS supporters too. Don't brings religion matter to politics. It's suicidal. This is not going to benefit the country. Religion is to govern our morality.

They describe how the singers corrupt the young generation, but it's not the single factor that makes young generation to behave like uncivilised people. Aren't you indirectly telling people it's easy to get influence? I think some teenagers are strong enough.

What matters the most are the parents should be the role model and gather positive influences from friends. The singer who come and go for just one night, and able to influence everybody? It's so weird that PAS had been against those singers (Avril Lavigne for example), they gonna think Malaysia is so stuck up.

Of course it's true in Economy matters, we are injection the money out of our country. But bear in mind, this is also boycotting the products. What do you think? Don't you think other countries might react against you decision. People might view this decision as political immature.

Borne in mind, I'm not being racist and insulting any Muslims here.

I'm not MLTR fans. Basically didn't even bother why they are here. But this article was such an eyes catcher. Who's supporting PAS to ban MLTR and other singers? .
Furthermore, not every singers are bad influence. Look at Bono itself. That's all about it. It's hilarious enough.

I hope the government would offer an referendum or just ask any NGOs to conduct any research to investigate this matter before considering a ban and show heavy evidences of whether it does influence children. Of course I don't want my children in the future to go for a concert perform by some metal punk or whatever. So, choose a better stand which is reasonable and not daft.

EGO.

Another email from my friend. Check out.

How our inner Ego sometimes misjudges a PERSON
A lady in a faded grey dress and her husband, dressed in a home-spun suit walked in timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University President's outer office. The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard and probably didn't even deserve to be in Harvard.

"We want to see the President "the ma n said softly.
"He'll be busy all day "the secretary snapped.
"We'll wait" the lady replied.

For hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and go away. They didn't and the secretary grew frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president..

"Maybe if you see them for a few minutes, they'll leave" she said to him. The President, stern faced and with dignity, strutted toward the couple.

The lady told him "We had a son who attended Harvard for one y ear. He loved Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidentally killed. My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere on campus."

The president wasn't touched....He was shocked. "Madam "he said, gruffly, " we can't put up a statue for every person who attended Harvard and died. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery."
"Oh, no," the lady explained quickly” We don't want to erect a statue. We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard."

The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun suit, and then exclaimed, "A building! Do you have any earthly idea how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the physical buildings here at Harvard."
For a moment the lady was silent. The president was pleased. Maybe he could get rid of them now. The lady turned to her husband and said quietly, "Is that all it costs to start a university ? Why don't we just start our own?"

Her husband nodded. The president's face wilted in confusion and bewilderment. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the University that bears their name: -StanfordUniversity, a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about.

Most of the time we judge people by their outer appearance, which can be misleading. And in this impression, we tend to treat people badly by thinking they can do nothing for us. Thus we tend to lose our potential good friends, employees or customers.
Remember

In our Life, we seldom get people with whom we want to share & grow our thought process. But because of our inner EGO we miss them forever.

Well?

What is in your mind?

I'd know many men who wear mask to cover their real intention.

Aforementioned, man with their invincible mask do not show their intention. They pretend for something to gain people's trust, and they gain benefit. I'm talking something not general. If you don't what I mean is fine.

And which makes me wonder if should they live in this world. Not only they are society parasite, their value is not even worth a cent.

In fact these people becomes leader of some group or even the country.

Where is Justice?

Is it that only Justice can be conveyed by an individual's action (think Robin Hood or something) where the Law says is wrong?

Granted, these people it seems able to make big things successful. People said you got to be cunning to be successful. The old proverb, good guys will always kick asses of the baddies. It sounds great, but this will not apply in reality. Come one, reality check people.

I admit I admire people who able to drop off their emotion and feeling. These people aim for success. But, don't you think they should have humanity? At least, go and donate some bucks.

Remember the news about the police man who got splashed by acid by his 'ex-wife'?

The man it seems by saying the word 'divorce', can actually be legal (this is Islamic Law, sorry if I'm wrong). So the man with his girlfriend went to somewhere to do something (in fact, the Officers can caught him for Khalwat). I think he deserve it.
He was in the newspaper buying sympathy from the public, and most of people think his innocent. Seriously, what is the court gonna decide his wife's fate?

Well, frankly, what I'm doing it here is not about attacking anyone. So don't bother.
There are few issues arising, and I wanna go against it. Therefore, with the post with such theme.

and oh

Happy Belated Birthday to Cathy Chong.

Raya2.

Selamat Berpuasa to all my muslim friends.

MACC

MACC.

After Teoh's death. Everyone were looking for an answer. What had actually happened? Is MACC responsible? What the hell is MACC doing?

Don't you think the ways of conduct by the MACC had infringe the rights of liberties?

If they choose the harsh and partial way to investigate, they gonna get it soon.

Unlike ICAC in Hong Kong, they have far more experience than us, the fact that they are so good, they actually one of the best to investigate corruption.

What do we really want of the MACC?

Here's the article I read earlier.

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/8/21/focus/20090821072723&sec=focus

By Managing editor P Gunasegaram

1. Be totally impartial. That means investigating everyone who may have been corrupt without fear or favour, whether they are from the ruling party or from the opposition, and whether they are black, brown yellow, white or any other shade, race or religion in between. The MACC must not only be fair but must be seen to be fair. It would help too if it became more racially diverse, a problem that the police faces too.

2. Set priorities. The MACC has finite resources, limited manpower and expertise. Like any other organisation, it must learn to prioritise – it must learn to focus, using the Pareto rule, on the 20% of cases which account for 80% of the money. Running around trying to catch the ikan bilis which in real life are smart enough not to swim in schools is rather frustrating. Hauling in a shark or a tuna will be far more satisfying.

Why go for the thousand-ringgit cases when we have big ones like the Port Klang Free Trade Zone (PKFZ) which involve billions? The MACC must learn to make its efforts count.

3. Set procedures. The MACC has the same powers of the police to investigate. In the haste with which it was set up (Jan 1 this year), its procedures may not have been explicitly set out. It must do so now. Questioning a witness from evening until 3.45am cannot be an acceptable method of investigation. Rules and procedures will avert such situations.

4. Set controls, checks and balances. The MACC, like any other organisation, should realise that not all of its members act within acceptable boundaries. It must therefore set up controls, checks and balances to ensure that they do.

Since there is no independent commission to oversee enforcement agencies, the MACC must police itself, and must therefore set up the mechanism to enable that.

5. Stick to the mandate. The clear mandate is to fight corruption wherever it occurs.

Politics or politicians are not the concerns. The overriding aim is to come up with good, effective ways of beating back the scourge of corruption and hence saving this country from descending into an abyss from which it cannot come out off. That’s as noble a mandate as anyone can get – and like one shoe company says, just do it.

6. Look for symptoms of corruption. If lowly politicians live in massive mansions and are driven by chauffeurs in colossal cars and are otherwise clearly living beyond their means, the MACC should swing into action. There are laws which require that people are able to account for their assets.

If skyscrapers sprout out in unlikely spaces, chances are someone is not doing his job or, worse, is being induced into stupor. If even public parks need periodic “renovation”, something is surely amiss. If companies with no expertise get contracts, is there not a sorry tale somewhere? The list is endless.

7. Don’t wait for reports before investigating. Whenever there are clear indications of possible corruption taking place, the MACC must swing into action – no need for reports to be made. For instance, is there a need for a report to be made over the PKFZ before the MACC gets the investigations going? A strange thing this – that a report has to be made before investigations start.

And then there is the question of why some reports continue to be ignored even after they are made.

8. Invite public complaints. This is not just about reports of other people engaged in corruption but also about its own officers as well.

This can cover instances of whether they are doing their job in a way beyond reproach and whether they have adhered to policies and procedures during the investigation itself.

9. Be quick to investigate and complete investigations. As the old axiom says, justice delayed is justice denied. Cases need to be investigated quickly and brought to prosecution and conclusion for public confidence in the MACC.

If cases take too long to be completed, then questions begin to be asked.

10. Be expert and efficient. Corruption is not easy to investigate. Crooks can leave a trail which is difficult to follow.

I'm not too concern of the author of this article said because it's hardcore fact.

But,

What I concern would be, will the government accept the fact that MACC actually need a reform?
Will the gov really consider the points given by the P Gunasegaram?

As matter of fact, I believe some MACC officers are decent people (otherwise why they work to kill of corruption for?). While the half bad asses, might need to go for screening test.

Unlike in the USA, the applicants of FBI and CIA have to meet minimum requirement (believe me, I had checked, they are extremely particular about people), to undergo many, many stages of test. They secretly investigate background and so on.

Shouldn't we have a strict test as well?

Bear in mind, there were 50000 applicant each year but those who qualified were less than a thousand. What does it mean?

They strictly chose officers. How about us?

Will Justice prevails?

Can we defend our rights?

Share.

Here's the email I got from my friends.

For those who are really interest to be a volunteer for either Animals and/or Children

Kindly drop by to

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=116909773859&ref=mf#/home.php?ref=home.

Thank you.

Volunteer, anyone?

Well, enough of politics, the flu and so on for a minute.

I'm here done some research and would like to people that would join me to be a volunteer. Yes, to be a volunteer for SPCA. My objective is simple, is to gather as many sincere people who are really willing to be a volunteer. And try to make a visit by at least once a month.

http://www.spca.org.my/v51/supportus_volunteer.php

Volunteering @ The Animal Shelter

There are many volunteer duties at the animal shelter - these include the morning sessions of kennel cleaning, helping to prepare and serve meals to the animals, kennel guides (assisting the public when choosing an animal), socializing the animals, and general housekeeping duties. Experienced dog handlers may also assist with walking the dogs, bathing and grooming them.

Volunteer work starts at 9am everyday, up to 4pm. Individuals and smaller groups of up to 5 people can drop by for volunteer work anytime, however we require bigger groups to inform us of their intended visit beforehand (for easier coordination, maximum group size is 15 pax). Please call Ms Chelvy at 42565312/ 42535179 to book your visit, or send us an e-mail at enquiries@spca.org.my.

Age Restrictions

Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, teacher or guardian above 18 years of age.

Dress Code & Precious Belongings

All volunteers are urged to dress appropriately, and bring a spare change of clothes as there is a high chance of getting your clothes wet or soiled while at the shelter! Cotton t-shirts with shorts/ long pants are recommended, as well as covered rubber shoes. SPCA will provide a room or locker for volunteers to store their belongings temporarily, but please keep your valuables e.g. wallets, cameras, handphones on you at all times. A waistpouch is convenient for this purpose!

Health & Safety

Please bring your own gloves, face masks or aprons. We also advice you to practice extreme caution when handling the shelter animals, as some of them may be unsocialized or ill. If at any point you are unsure of an animal, please approach one of the kennel staff for assistance.

Please also wash your hands between handling animals, to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. It is strongly advisable to also disinfect yourself and change your clothes before handling your own pets at home, after a visit to the shelter.

Volunteering @ The Marketing & Communications Dept

If you are experienced and interested in helping in the MarComm Department, you can assist us with the following:

* Media liaison - press releases, finding new opportunities for SPCA through media, etc

* Marketing materials - creating new materials or upgrading old flyers, posters, etc

* Merchandise - design, sourcing, surveys & research, stock count, etc

* Education - conducting educational sessions for students, conducting tours of the shelter, etc, assisting with creation of new Education Packs

* Photography - For updating online adoption galleries. Taking photos of animals for adoption, getting details and uploading to SPCA website, Facebook, and several other websites

* Database management - help update SPCAs database of emails

* Campaigns - Propose and help to carry out campaigns e.g. Dog Bite Prevention for schoolchildren, Anti Dog/ Cat Meat consumption, etc

Volunteering @ Outreach Events

SPCA Selangor organizes many events, and is frequently invited to participate in pet events, school fairs and family events. We always need volunteers to help us with setting up the booths, merchandise sales, adoption counseling, petitioning and distribution of educational materials.

You can also send an e-mail at enquiries@spca.org.my.

Kindly drop a comment in my chat box if you are interested.

Nice.

When reality bites for real..

I got all these from my email today. I got one more picture/story to post in here. Just scroll down

"The Doberman is pregnant. The fireman had just saved her from a fire in her house,

rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, then he continued to fight the fire.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte , North Carolina News- paper, noticed the dog in the distance looking at the fireman.

He saw the Doberman walking straight toward the fire fighter and wondered what she was going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had just saved her life and the lives of her unborn babies and kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph."

Touching eh?

Hurray!

(Pictures from Lily)

Well, today we went to celebrate for our result where we just received yesterday. We were happy that we could continue our degree, thus after the Dialogue given by Mr. Vivian Robinson QC we went to Old China (I had no idea what it called haha thanks to Lily) for lunch.

There, me and Lily.

Alex and Rebecca. They joined us just to celebrate with us. The more the merrier, I guess. Qwen was here too, but Lily didn't take picture of her, well, save for the next time.

That's the restaurant. It's a very nice shot.

The food. This was Lily's. But everyone except Alex, ordered nasi lemak haha

Here's the souvenir. The day light robber Michell.

Well, I guess A-levels term had passed among us. Shouldn't think about it since we have more things in future to care.

But wish someone were here to celebrate with us.

Keep Fighting.

By tomorrow.

Yes, tomorrow.

Waited and waited.

Yes, tomorrow.

Finally.

I'm officially a Law Student.

Thank you!!

Learning.

Well, I'm here. Ha.ha

Naw, not gonna talk about politic and so. Just to be here for a moment.

Lately I had been into reading Hajime No Ippo (Fighting Spirit in English conversion), it talks about a young boy named Ippo who hook into boxing and on his road to world champion. On his way, he blooms to adulthood and maturity where technically, the creator focus on character development. The creator set up an important value here. No matter what you're doing, so long you put your heart on it and training/practice as hard as you can, you will succeed!

That's not all, he also show us that in order to carry on the path, we must be brave, faithful and have courage to walk the walk.

So no matter what you're doing, never give up, and

Embrace your dream.

Goodnight everyone.

It's coming.

Tomorrow, the result is coming out. It had been about 2 months since the exam was over. And now the result is coming out tomorrow at 2pm.

No matter what move forward.

All the best to all A-levels students who are receiving the result tomorrow!!

Gambatte!

Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948

As the heading suggests, I'm here to talk about our human rights in Malaysia.

THE UDHR is widely incorporate in Malaysia so long it does not conflicting with the values of Constitution. This is were approved by 4(4) of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Act 597) which clearly stated that 'For the purpose of this Act, regard shall be had to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 to the extent that it is not inconsistent with the Federal Constitution.'

Part II of the Federal Constitution of Malaysia

In Malaysia, human rights are partially enshrined in the Federal Constitution. This is clarified by section 2 of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia Act 1999 (Act 597) in the following way:

"human rights" refer to fundamental liberties as enshrined in Part II of the Federal Constitution.

Part II of the Federal Constitution guarantees the following fundamental liberties:

Article 5 - Right to life
- Right to personal liberty
Article 6 - Prohibition of slavery and forced labour
Article 7 - Protection against retrospective criminal
laws and criminal laws
Article 8 - Right to equality before the law
Article 9 - Prohibition of banishment
- Freedom of movement
Article 10 - Freedom of speech, assembly and
association
Article 11 - Freedom of religion
Article 12 - Rights in respect of education
Article 13 - Rights to property

Rights and Responsibilities

In accordance with Articles 29(2) and 30 of the UDHR, human rights are to be exercised with responsibility. This means that:

* rights and freedoms may be limited by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others;

* rights and freedoms may be limited by law solely to meet the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society;

* No State, group or person has the right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any rights and freedoms set forth in the UDHR.

(all this were partly provided by Malaysian Law Student Society/The Malaysian Law Students Alliance (MALSA))

Well, does it sounds great? But are we truly protected?

From what I see, the UDHR is not fully enforced. I doubt if most of people aware of this. If I were the MPs (only IF), we should have a commission to enforce this. Clearly from most of people will said many people and infringed our rights.

The COMANGO (Coalition of Malaysian NGOs) report highlights:

1. politicisation of race and religion;
2. discrimination in the areas of health, sexuality, women, students and youth, children, persons with disabilities, non-citizens and indigenous peoples;
3. the restrictions of freedom of expression, information and assembly;
4. the housing woes of the urban poor; and
5. detention without trial, the need for an Independent Complaints and Misconduct Commission for the Police, the impunity of human rights abusers, and the imposition of corporal and capital punishment.

The COMANGO had been sent a 10 pages long report to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva. (http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/9/9/nation/1977810&sec=nation) But the issue still remain unknown.

And from what I think, even the we know our rights, but when someone infringe our rights, it took time for retribution and in fact the people who had suffered had to wait until the matter took place. See for example in England, it took about 6 years to reach the Court in Strasbourg (but, of course now, the UK courts have powers to take case regarding Human Rights). Imagine the person who had suffered and needs to go to court to settle. Time and cost ticking here and there.

And yet, if we were to look on other countries, slavery are allowed, etc. And for example, ISA in our own country. Many people against it because it allows for detention without trial and with 2 years in you know where. I would say (like before) ISA is important TO AGAINST TERRORIST and partly because of national security. But not to the extend where bloggers and reporters to sent to jail because they had cause insecure among the others by blogging or reporting..And look at North Korea, they hold two Korean from USA reporters and just only released. Where is the rights? Governemnt at times always impose things that they think is good for the citizen. But a leader should actually listen to his/her people's opinion (thus the democracy)

I had like to quote Abraham Lincoln's 'Government of the people by the people and for the people'. I had mentioned before and I will said it again, politician (whether is the MPS or just politician) which form part of the government must work together for the greater future and for the nation.

This theory however does not apply to every one, people have their intention and may not willing to coop. Sad to say, this kind of attitude cause the citizen to endure some hardships. Some politicians actually never follows the code completely. They assume their role and remain insignificant to changes. How would our nation grow?

Issues.

One of the headline of the day

PM said he has no plan to censor the Internet. That's good to hear.

So continue.

“The government has no desire to implement Internet filtering,” the prime minister said when commenting on Rais’ remarks that the government wants to shut out smut.

“This matter will be decided by the Cabinet but all this while we have never intended to filter the Internet,” Najib added despite the information, communication and culture ministry’s tender exercise to evaluate such a feasibility.

http://themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/34525-pm-says-no-plan-to-censor-the-internet

Okay, no desire and so on, that's good to hear. Then our PM continued, this matter will be decided in future. So you do wanted to implement the plan right?

Well, I had to praise our PM for identify the problem where of course, we people are not satisfied with the proposal. The fact that our PM are willing to indulge in our daily matters is really good.

But to censor the Internet;

This will against the

Bill of Guarantees under the national ICT initiative MSC Malaysia.

I think that means you gonna censor it. Well, at some point, I agree yet again about the pornographic, where it affects children. I worried too about my future sons and daughters. As a parents, who likes our children to catch this kind of thing, right? So, it's true if you were to censor the internet.

But the problem is, the government is like blaming the internet for the downfall of the previous election. Let me cites this, though we have a limited strength on what we can express our view in public, but we still have our rights to choice people, am I right? So, what is the point? If fact the every politician could indulge in blogging to fare their votes.

So what I'm trying to say is, the government shouldn't use the excuse. In fact, set up a Bill just to curb pornographic and don't cause more problems. And our PM actually promised the same thing that about ISA we will have our rights to demonstrate (peaceful one of course) but look what happened.

Another issue

Malaysia are to ban of sale of beer in some part.

I respect that the Muslim should drink beer. But what is the problem anyway?

Why not you ban on the sale of cigarette instead?

Why must politician waste their time like this? Shouldn't their work for the better of the society?

The opposition seems to against the view where UMMNO seems to give their support to PAS. As far as I read in http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/34601-in-malaysia-different-rules-for-different-folks, it suggested that UMNO took advantage to steer the fire between PAS and PR.

This is actually a small issue regarding religion issue and now it sparks the fire. This gonna make the social unrest in future. Come one, settle the issue, it's really just a small matter, don't raise the temperature. Use time for better cause. Show you value instead of attacking each other.

And try to read the later article it had more interesting things where I couldn't write in here.

People have to change for the country and the citizen. They need to.

Censor the Internet

One of the current issue in Malaysia. Government plans to censor the internet.

Alright, I'm cool with the issue. But from what I read in here
http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5hvIDqHugawIz_1tXqa1sEWRLLiQg

The article shows that Malaysia will likely to follow the way China did, censor the internet to block 'undesirable' website. Okay I got the point. But wait there's more.

'A senior official with the National Security Council (NSC) confirmed reports that the coalition government was considering imposing controls -- effectively scrapping a 1996 guarantee that it would not censor the Internet.

"It is to keep out pornographic materials and bloggers who inflame racial sentiments. We need to maintain racial harmony. We cannot have full-blown democracy like in the United States," he told AFP.'

Okay what does keep out the pornographic materials got to do with racial harmony? I do agree with our Prime Minister that pornographic video should be banned. I actually do agree with what he said. It's true pornographic is bad, in fact it will affects the children to indulge in negative matters. This is totally clean and cut. But whether our PM's real intention, I do not know, but I do like to say porno is bad.
check the link to learn more.
http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/8/7/nation/20090807143305&sec=nation

But what does it gotta do with racial harmony? Don't they think this is more or less a bit of culture problem where people start surfing pornographic?

If you read further down, in the first link, it mentioned about using blogs and news to divert and makes the people to swing to opposition (it's talks about the March 8, the last election)

Man, how can by blogging and internet news report can swing everyone in this country?

And also, it mentioned about being indifferent with the USA as we cannot afford for full-blown democracy. What does this means? It's like self-direc
tly telling us we have no rights in Malaysia. Goodness, we select you people to work, not you select yourself.

Lim Kit Siang the opposition leader, describe this as Horror of Horrors and will be a social turn away. I had agree. I don't want to talk more since our PM cleary said he will only plan to curb the pornographic. We shall see in future.

Well, people like my friends and family had asked me why the heck am I commenting this and that and it sounds like I'm against the gov. I had answer, no, I'm not. I just clearly voice out what I think and I'm always in the neutral mode. I give my view based on things that seems to be... and what is good for our nation and citizen.

Nothing matters.

Lately I had been wondering what will happen in Malaysia. With the Mr.Teoh's case left unsettled, The ISA, the politician, and the police.

All the CROOKS need an attitude adjustment. BIG TIME.

Seriously.

I'd wonder if those people really respect each other, the Law and the Constitution. Can you tell me in which part of our beautiful country operates effectively?

Bias.
This is the thing where crooks always have in their mind. They make decision purely for their own good. Alright, I had agree, everyone, everyone makes decision for their own good. But should they actually do things for themselves? You know like someone.

I don't believe in good and evil.

All these stuff people said what is good and bad, are all but bullshit. Open your mind.

THIS belief actually contradicting with my believe in Justice. But does Justice really helps the good? I had say no. It helps everyone who suffered. The good and bad receive the same value of judgement.

So, will people change?

No.

Why?

Because they are resist to change. That's what I think about the mindset of all crooks in Malaysia.

Resist you said?

They are not cooperative in nature, in between the people in this country. Why would they hurt each other while we live in this country?

From what I think, since we are the citizen of Malaysia, why would there be inequality? Always, the gap would appear in between. We need to fill in the gap to avoid inequality.

The question is, are people willing to change?
