Wing.

Just got back from class.

Sunday also got class (yea, had been fretting about this like few times already)

Well, our lecturer, Mr.Daniel informed us we will also have class on Sunday next week! I thought Ms.Ann said we will have our break on December. Oh well. Expect more classes during weekend.

Well, aside of being tired, I felt that this is one of the stage of maturity that many of us must go through. This is the process where I think, we ought to develop our mentality and no single thing comes without effort.

I think that as the road to be a better adult, we gotta experience something, otherwise we won't learn things and grow.

Far in the light, I can see it
In every scene of the night
A tiny feather of love
I gotta go

Nice song. haha

Today.

Happy Thanksgiving to all Christian friends

and

Selamat Hari Raya to all Muslim friends

Enjoy!

YES!

I have a few friends became a vegetarian yesterday!

Many thanks to Siao Ying, Vivian, Kiran, Stephanie, etc! Haha Your deed will be well appreciated. Well, I do know that our contribution is as small as a penny, then again, we did what we should, is fair enough, right?

Twin of brothers is not that hard except for the chorus part. Whew, safe for now! Should be able to sing that song, I think.

Anyway, found this;

Nice eh? Will keep it in mind.

MEATLESS DAY!

Tomorrow is International Vegetarian Day.

"To promote the joy, compassion and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism. It brings awareness to the ethical, environmental, health and humanitarian benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle."
-Wikipedia.

Well, it is also know as SAK Meatless Day. (SAK=Stop All killing)

The philosophy underlying SAK has been preached by Sadhu T.L Vaswani and Dada J.P Vaswani.

Sadhu Vaswani said –
If indeed, life is one, is not the animal too, my brother? And am I not his keeper?
Meat eating will one day be condemned as murder!

Dada J.P Vaswani said –
Meat eating and world peace appear to be poles apart. Actually the two are interlinked. So long as animals and birds are slain to provide food for man, so long we will not see peace on the face of this Earth. If man kills an animal for food, he will not hesitate in killing a fellow man whom he considers as his enemy. The root cause of world wars is irreverence towards life.

The main objectives:

Asking people to sign pledges to go without meat on November 25th.
Saving animals from slaughterhouses
Requesting Hotels and caterers to refrain from serving meat on November 25th
Marching for Peace across the world in November 25th.

# We work towards the cause in the long term by –
Creating awareness about Animal Rights through newsletters, articles in the press and banners
Working to get the Government to pass rules and laws that protect animal rights
Approaching schools to educate children about the need for compassion towards animals, and the evils of meat eating.

For more information, check this Meatlessday

So, I think it's pretty late to write this in here, but I still managed to ask my friends to be vegan for tomorrow. Well, it's certainly not for fun, but for the animals' right. You do aware we kill animals for our own good; so, tomorrow I hope those enthusiastic people will follow what we do! Become a vegetarian for just tomorrow!

I certainly will be, will you?

Ring your song.

Didn't expect that I will be writing this post like around 3 something.

Well, not about nasal blockage, the old sickness suddenly arose. And, the mosquito...(no thanks to the mosquito, otherwise I won't be awaken at the first place!)

Not gonna rant about it, since it's already like this, then let it be. Just hope to sleep back ASAP.

I will again write some new lyrics, without time limit this time. I had been writing the same genre over and over lately, even I feeling pretty bored. So, I'm gonna write something new. Possible about life or at least something different. The only thing is if I got time to write.

Mock exam is like so near now. Not sure if I'm totally prepared myself. There are so many reading materials to be done, and I haven't completed half of it yet! I wonder how long my seniors took to complete reading 3 or 5 topics. Gotta catch up fast.

I like this simple song by Eri Itou, Ring your Song.

Now we've come so far from darkness
and will never be apart
so we leave for tomorrow
to start our lives again

Find me there, my tiny feathers
of my holy ancient days
you will calm all my sadness
and ring your song
only for me

Find me there, my tiny feathers
of my holy ancient days
I will calm all your sadness
and sing my song
only for you

This song was one of the theme song for Tsubasa Chronicle. (the lyric is from capturedwings.net)

I guess, we all looking/waiting for a person like the song may suggested isn't it? Yea, it's a lovely one.

Feel.

Haven’t got much time to update my blog lately. Yes, being pretty busy with classes, rushing to complete both reading and working assignments. In addition, I have private stuffs to attend, well at least not for today, I have my ‘break’ day.

It had been a very frenzied week, no less from the busy schedule of classes (this week, I even have Saturday class, not to forget I have compulsory class every Sunday) so, well, tiring you may say, but it’s something I had expected earlier, luckily, I had prepared my mental state, but still in reality, you do may be lacking of energy, spirit or something ridiculous, oxygen to breathe.

Hold your horse if you think I’m fanatical

I’m still in the process to enable my body to the suit the new system or lifestyle. And, of course we can suit to new things pretty fast, just wait and see. It just happens to everyone, just that we resist changing because we are comfortable with what we have now.

Stress level had slowly gained its momentum, at times, I do feel the pressure had got me in certain level of unreasonableness (so it seems that my heavy bag had become my sole victim, yet it really helpful in releasing some extent of tension). I glad that I bought books about Buddhism as it had been really affective in rebuilding my composure. One needs to incorporate virtues in life to enable one walking on to the right path of life and one to ends with an honourable way.

It’s in the late November now, the end of 2009 it just a month plus away, and Christmas is coming! I enjoy holidays that occur in December. Haha reason why, I don’t really know, just feeling unique. Christmas can resembles many things, if you may put aside of the true meaning of Christmas. Nonetheless, it’s something you would enjoy, especially, if Malaysia will be covered with snow. I’m sure many couples will have their day on Christmas, too.

Oh, one more thing, Chan, your mission is about to start soon. I do hope you will take action A.S.A.P! Remember, Act before you hesitate, and whatever is the end result, it’s not something you should really regret upon. In fact, you finally able to settle everything, understand everything and you may feel settle. Wish you luck, man! Let me know the result as well!

I realised something, ever since I couldn’t concur with my own feeling, I need to be placed in a special place (mountain for example) and then meditate. Seriously, I need to come up with a decision, a decision that may be very crucial and it may affect my system. A resolute decision is needed.

Anyway, another issue I would like address is regarding of The League of Volunteers for Animals and Children (LVAC). It seems to be rather silent, yes, but do not panic to those members, the group is still in healthy state. Just that H1N1 was reported to be greatly dangerous, thus activities had to be rearranged. Although, the disease, on the surface in Malaysia is like no news, but I definitely wouldn’t want to take the risk. What is the point of getting sick and then you can’t be a volunteer, after all, you gotta be healthy to be a volunteer, isn’t it? It seems to be persuasive for me say H1N1 is the reason, but the truth is that the members’ health is one of the concerns in the management. Nonetheless, don’t worry, LVAC will resumes its activities once the flu is subdued.

Politics in Malaysia is ever amusing. Yea, you can say I’m being sarcastic or whatever, the recent appointment of Anwar as Selangor’s Economic advisor, I reckon to be either for bad or for good. Not to say Anwar is all together bad or what, but I concur with Mahathir’s argument that previously Anwar planned to take the IMF’s ways, as he suggested it’s bad for the economics of Malaysia. Then again, another view is that during Anwar’s former position (Finance Minister), Malaysia had a surplus budget. It’s really a yes or no proposition to say Anwar’s appointed is bad or good. But, isn’t it something amiss by appointing him? I save the argument to people who are concern in this.

I do hope to see the MCA resolves the internal problem swiftly, seriously, they are not playing the game right. With all the recent news, what good will derive from being so uncultivated in dealing problems. Time is ticking, and problems remained sunken. Settle it soon, and soon the confidence may be regained. It’s up to their willingness and delegates support.

Anyway, got to go, till then.

Five Minutes Management Course
Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.

The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.

When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbour.

Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.'

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.

When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'

'It was Bob the next door neighbour,' she replies.

'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'

Moral of the story:?

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:

A priest offered a Nun a lift.

She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.

The priest nearly had an accident.

After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg...?

The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'

The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again.
The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'

The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.'

Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily
and went on her way.

On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.'

Moral of the story:
If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 3:

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out.
The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.'
'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.'
Puff! She's gone.

'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life..'

Puff! He's gone.

'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager.
The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after
lunch.'

Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 4

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?'
The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.'

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it..

Moral of the story:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson 5

A turkey was chatting with a bull.

'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.'
'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.'

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree..

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.

Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:
Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there...

Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.

While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.

The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.

(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your
friend.

(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep
your mouth shut!

Sunday

Sunday morning, smell fresh and feeling peaceful.

And, I got class later in the afternoon.

Life will be getting extremely busy, especially there are so many things to be done and reading need to be accomplished ASAP.

Research have to start now. And, I have to choose one topic for my research. It's like thesis in many universities. It's my first.

Talk about first.

I tried lot of things this year with my new found friends and also with some old friends.

Something I won't do in previous time, and I tried. The process is fine and quite fun as well.

I did things that people thinks I won't do. After all, why not try things when you have one life?

Of course I aware that you can't excel in all things you do and people choose to excel or be the best on one thing they like or prefer.

But, one way or another, we ought to try or at least experience it first hand.

Anyway, got to prepare for class. Later.

A day without fear.

The plan to Da Vinci's gallery was off.

Reason was, we unable to ensure the journey to Pusat Sains Negara is through the use of bus. You see, they said they RapidKl bus will only operate like 6am-9am. How are we suppose to get to KL Sentral so early?

So, since I figured this operation too late, we can't find another way to get there in such a short time, so our plan had to be cancelled. Sad thing, was looking forward to check the gallery. But, our plan will still keep alive, perhaps we will go there next month, luckily the gallery will be still around Malaysia till next year.

So, Tuesday night, I arranged to go to Bangsar to meet Vincent. And Wednesday morning, I suddenly remember of the sms that MPH sent to my mum's. About MPH clearance sale. 50% to 30% discount. Partly with value buy rate. Most of them cost around Rm2-Rm15. As a book lover, and the fact that I consider MPH, Borders, Kinokuniya, etc as one of my paradise. Nerd or whatever you call, Books, I shall consider as the fountain of wisdom.

I bought 13 books! No, my dad bought for me as birthday present. Thank you, dad! One of the best present. :)

I also finally got some books I wanted to have! Nelson Mandela, Bll Clinton, Buddhism, Q'uran, The Appeal and more. The only thing I'm still looking for is the Book of Heritance, Volume 3, Brisingr, only with some discount, I might had already gain possession of it! And, I'm looking for a book about Christianity, which I found it yesterday, but no approval.

Anyhow, due to the time I spent, I couldn't go to Bangsar (have class on 6.30), so Vincent being very generous, agreed to come all the way to Sunway Pyramid. And, he agreed to take one of my lyric! The lyric most likely will given back to me, as he said he already have a few in hand. Not a bad thing, as I preferred to get back my piece.

So, had my dinner at Old Town, and while one my way, I saw a shop which sells glove (Universe something), the cute girl there was kinda good attraction, the girl kind of suits me, eh...I'm running out of bound now haha but I still managed to get my glove! I shall no longer feel much cold and harshness now!

The time spent and traffic jam nearly cause me to be late on class, seeking alternative route, so I ended up waking a distance. And once I got home, I figured I suffered something which is why I'm here facebook-ing and blogging instead of staying inside the class. Got a day break for myself.

I see time asking me to go, so till then.

Da Vinci!

Am going to Leonardo Da Vinci's Gallery this Wednesday!

By just talking about it makes me all excited!

Hopefully the gallery will exhibit Mona Lisa. It would be something extremely NICE and AMAZING!

It's a once a life time experience!

There are so many valuable things we should see in this world. Venus De Milo or Van Gogh's Sunflowers, to name a few. I wish to see it all!

Anyway, busy schedule coming in! This Wednesday I will also have a night class. And starting this Sunday, I will like have Sunday classes 3 weeks in the row! More to expect in the future.

Oh well, gotta go. Till then.

Criminalise WAR.part 2

Here this is it (haha not related with MJ). The pictures and the event I promised to talk about.

Last Saturday, went to this International Conference and Exhibition. It was my first time going to PWTC, so for few minutes, I was like...sesat (lost). So I rang Lee Pui Yee's hand phone, asking her where's the entrance!

Ha.ha As silly as it seems, I managed to found the entrance.

Anyway, I saw Vinci there, so, I'm kinda safe.

Afterward, Pui Yee and her friend, Pui Mun joined us...erm, the two actually went to lower ground, they thought I was there. Sorry ya! Lollipop, yes I still remember!

Soo after, we went for a free lunch though it's not that impressive, and I'm still very the hungry. Without wasting time, because Pui Mun needs to go home early, we went to to exhibition. I tell you it really opened my mind about war. Well, not that I don't know how ugly the war can be, but still, by witnessing the real thing, you know the pain and suffering can eat you up.

By 1.40 like that, we entered. We were not allowed to take pictures, but only in the front entrance. I tell you if I can take pictures, you will be...erm...displeased.

The entrance. (caught this picture after we got out)

(we...secretly take this picture hahahaha) It's an art work from some local University.

Well, share your thought. After we explored, we then take pictures (where we were allowed). I signed and voted for no war appeal. I think I wrote something about gathering some useful and right people to create awareness. Not that I aware how, but it serves to be something important to the public to realise our capability to influence people around.

The entrance before we went inside the 'chamber'. Vinci (left) and Pui Yee (right)

Me and Pui Yee. Benito Mussolini, the main of great power back in the early 19th century.

Aha.

So, after the thing, Pui Mun left us a while ago, we met Vatsela with her sister and friend. We agreed to meet later in The Mall. We had pizza! After several months of not having pizza, finally!

After meal (it was already about 4 plus), Vatsela and co joined us, we walked around until 5.

Okay, Gonna talk a bit about the war.
War exhibits cruelty, immorality and irrationality.
Why?

One of the highlights, ‘The Man in the Hood’, one professor (hope I’m right about the professor) criticise about the US about the war. The soldiers caught him and then tortured him. As the name implied, the man was covered his head with a hood, and then electrocute him, he was put up as he’s crucifix. When the soldier saw blood stain, they stopped and called the doctor in, the doctor said; he bitted his own tongue, and asked the soldier to continue.

The torment is inhuman.

I wish I could talk more about the torture chamber...but it’s really sickening.

I would quote Confucius saying again

“What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others”

Isn’t it true? Imagine that soldier is the one being tortured.

Anyway, the objectives of this event are:
-TO STOP THE SLAUGHTER OF INNOCENT
-TO STOP PROFITEERS EARNING BLOOD MONEY
-TO STOP THE MASS MEDIA GLORIFYING WAR
-TO STOP THE MANUFACTURE OF WEAPONS

To achieve the peace, we declare that

Killings in war are as criminal as the killings within societies in times of peace. It's thereby killing in peace time would subjected to International Law of Crimes. Furthermore, all commercial, financial, industrial and scientific activities that aid and bet war should be criminalised!

What more important is that all national leaders who initiate aggression must be subjected to the jurisdiction of international Criminal Court. It is an important issue that all nations strengthen the resolve to accept the purposes and principles of the United nation Charter and institute methods to settle international disputes via peaceful means and to renounce war.

Political parties must include peace as one of their principal objectives. This is not limited to just political parties but also public servants or professionals must promote peace and campaign actively against war.

Non-governmental organisation should affirm their belief in peace and pledge to strive for peace. For media and entertainment, they have the ability to influence the mind of people should instead of glorifying the war but bear the responsibility to report the violence instigated by the war and should instead cultivate the ethos of peace.

It's certainly comical that when in time of peace we still seek to feel the disadvantage of others and then provoke unnecessary and unwise plan to hurt others. And during war times, we do not appreciate the time of peace and regret upon their former action.

Do we really need to wage a war to allow us understand the pain so that we can feel the real sense of peace? The answer is no. Some of the young generation forget the pain and suffering of the people from the past. It is our parents' duty to allow them to understand why peace is so much more important. People from the past had enough, I'm sure they do not want the future generations like us to feel like what they felt.

I think that throughout the years, war have become unnecessary. For now, war should be deemed as uncivilised, uncultivated and improper conduct. There no longer needed for any country to prove. Leaders should bear in mind of the importance of the people's wellbeing.

Wars have been subjected to the past and present time. Humans by history, shows that war seems to be inevitable especially fighting for independence. To some, war seems to be a glory, an honour by winning. It is true that for human nature, winning is always the positive thing. I won't deny that fact.

I think it's essential for people to reflect themselves. So people out there, it seems dull to read, but I want you to know that this abide great consequence if we able to criminalise war.

A day.

It was just the typical morning I usually will have, normally waking up early in the morning to prepare myself for the college day or I will just wake up, prepare myself for the day and just read the newspaper and/or watching tv, I guess not today.

So, as usual, did all what I required this morning and went to KTM station. About 8.35 am, got there, and will walk straight away to the yellow line. (To those who use KTM as means of transportation will understand what I’m saying, otherwise, it’s the line where we passengers-gonna -be required to station until the people from the train get out.)

So, was there, and expecting the train to arrive at 8.45am, and then there was an announcement that the train will be late for 10 minutes. KTM usually like that. Then again, the delay not just because of the inefficiency but due to safety reason. And, the announcement, I truly think that this was really a fate.

Why fate?

Just few seconds after the announcement, I heard a loud bang, by the time; I moved my head to right, I SAW a woman fell over and her head knocked onto the floor. I swear she almost gonna fell over to the rail track (imagine how severe would be if she really land with her head to the stones)

That woman suffered from a fit. I’m terrified. It was my first time seeing someone having a seizure.

The scene is still vivid in my mind.

When I saw that woman’s face, I was literally stunted. I’m so shocked.

Today, I would say that it’s an important event.

It makes me realise that as helpless as we could be, we ought to live as happily as possible. We do not know what will happen in the future.

And also, I want people to know that, besides concerned about yourself; you have to care about others especially the person you really care. You will not regret if you give yourself extra cautious about every small bit of information regarding the person you care. It saves life. And, trust me, it will help.

Mooting.

I think I should tell, at least half of what happened yesterday.

Okay, yesterday morning, went to college to catch the mooting competition.

Went to Moot Court No.4.

Actually I hesitated to get inside, because I was late. Afraid that, I will disturb the match.

But I did, of course.

Amazed.

All two teams were very good. They were so concentrated. Liked the atmosphere. The sense of seriousness and bright. Haha bright? Don't ask me why, just felt so.

I'm pretty interested especially the way they spoken. Their tone, was of course different. It's really something really nice.

Each Mooters were given 20 minutes to discuss their points. After all mooters finished, they were given 5 minutes to rebut the points. This I suppose were Lawyers (the mooters in this case) began to attack each other points.

The (Supreme Court) Judge loves to ask questions. I didn't know he will ask that much. And, oh the judge sure have a sense of humour, too. He also extended time to each Lawyers, as the fact that he said, for the Justice purposes. :D

I admired process. If I'm in the competition, what would I do? What would I feel? Will I be the same? These questions, asked myself throughout the mooting process.

Oh, I don't want to join the mooting. Certainly not. Not anymore when I see people had to be so stressful. I don't want to add extra weight to myself.

But I definitely looking forward on a real court process. It's just such a wonderful experience to me.

Anyway, by 12.30, they were given recess time, before the Rebut process resume. Oh, Alex was there, too. With his serious and smart look, he also have some power like in a real court process where like in a court, when asked to rise, we had to and bow to the Judge. hahahah

Okay, I can't stay any longer, because I need to go to PWTC. As the previous post suggested, it was an event regarding about War Crimes. I will talk more about it once I got all pictures.

And remember, SAY NO TO WAR.

Anyway, SLEEP EARLY. Night.
